May 6th 2014 ......
The first group worked on elements of the dressage test for Hickstead. Lots of practice of 10 m circles. Kim rode Bally in preparation for Hickstead - she found Bally needs a much gentler and quieter approach than Sultan. Fiona rode George to further develop Fiona's riding experience. They made a very nice partnership - with George being more responsive to Fiona's legs. Bradley worked with Conker - still working on and improving rising trot. Chris rode Rupert - lots of focus on steering and accuracy. Ethan rode Shamus - in preparation for Hickstead.
The second group was a small group today and they rode up the lane. Michelle rode Ivan to get ready for Felbridge. Beth rode her favourite pony - Shamus. Courtney 2 rode Bally.
The last group rode in the school - Orla on Harvey, Tabitha on Ben and Sophie on Ferdie. They worked together on stopping and starting - and counted the school letters. They practiced steering and changed the rein. the group were aeroplanes and butterflies to stretch their arms, then 'cross; with their hand on their hips. The group then rode without stirrups. Tabitha trotted without stirrups - lots to tell daddy.
