First lesson of new term and lovely weather so all of the lessons rode up the lane.
The first group - Chris on Rupert, Fiona on Shamus, Ethan on Bally, Bradley on Conker and Kim on Sultan achieved a good walk pace and reached the works before turning back.
Damaris, Daisy and Courtney 2 are less familiar with riding out so we learned to sit back when going down a slope to keep our balance, and to lean forward going up a slope to help our pony. Damaris rode Bertie for the first time - he's her new favourite pony. Courtney rode Rupert, Courtney 2 rode Bally and Michelle rode Ben. When the group got back to the school they practised stopping and starting using the school letters. Damaris worked on her hand position - 'cups of tea' was the instruction !l
The last group looked at the animals and flowers as they walked out. Lots and lots of daisies - more than you can count. Orla rode Harvey, Cody rode Ivan, Noah rode Bertie and Tabitha rode Ben.
