Riding for the Disabled - Arundel Group RDA

Arundel Group RDA was founded in 1979 - by Joy Leggett, based at her stables Arundel Riding Centre. Joy is still involved with the Group as is her daughter Alison and grandson Rory.

The Group is part of the South East region which covers Sussex, Surrey and Kent. It offers riding as a therapy for children and adults who live, or attend schools, in the Arundel area.

Riding helps riders in many ways including improving balance, co-ordination, concentration, confidence and speech. And it's fun!

We meet every Tuesday afternoon during term time. The activities could not take place without the continuing support of Joy and Alison, our volunteers and trustees.

The group is a registered charity (1074378)

HRH The Princess Royal at Arundel

HRH The Princess Royal joined us to celebrate our 35th Anniversary in 2014.  She watched riders in a lesson demonstrating steering and control of the pony.

Princess Anne then presented rosettes and chatted with riders. She also presented training certificates and long service certificates to volunteers.

The Princess unveiled a commemorative plaque and cut the birthday cake.
